Requesting items

Placing a local hold for pickup

You can place a hold on an item we own here at Evergreen. We will pull the item and notify you via email when it is available for checkout.

1. Complete search for item, sign in to see your request options

2. Once you find an item that is available in the library catalog, select Availability and Request Options

3. Select Request From: Evergreen Library (verify the item says "Status: AVAILABLE" - if it is checked out, you will only be placing a hold for when the item is returned and that may not be fast enough for you)

click request from evergreen library

4. Select where you need to pick up the item (Olympia Campus Library, Tacoma, Tribal Program/Grays Harbor)

5. Click Request

You will receive an email when your item is available for pickup.

How to Request Items through Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)

If your SUMMIT request cannot be fulfilled via SUMMIT or if you need an article we do not have full-text access to, use our Interlibrary Loan Service to place your request. We ask libraries all over the country to lend us materials. They take a little longer to get here, but it is a free service!

1. Login to ILLiad (our interlibrary loan service) using your my.evergreen login and password.

2. Choose what type of item you need to request:
