The 2022-2023 academic year is fast approaching, and we would like to cordially invite you to an open house at the library’s Rare Books Room on Wednesday, September 21st from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Come explore our collection, schedule class visits, and see what we have planned for the upcoming year.

Our big event of the year will be the Science Stories exhibit in Winter quarter. Co-curated by Jane Carlin, Dr. Lucia Harrison, and Dr. Peter Wimberger, Science Stories is a unique project that brings together Pacific Northwest scientists and book artists to create engaging and unique artists’ books that offer new ways to interpret science and to tell a story. Multiple Evergreen faculty and faculty emeritus are included in this interdisciplinary and interactive display. Reach out if you are interested in scheduling a tour, presentation, or special class visit in-person or by emailing rarebooks@evergreen.edu

You don’t have to be a book arts or literary program to come visit us. There is a book for every class on our shelves. Check out some highlights at https://libguides.evergreen.edu/rarebooks/spotlight
