The National Association for Multicultural Education is a 501.c-3 non-profit organization that advances and advocates for social justice and educational equity through multicultural education.

The National Education Association (NEA) is the largest labor union in the United States.[2] It represents public school teachers and other support personnel, faculty and staffers at colleges and universities, retired educators, and college students preparing to become teachers. The NEA has just under 3 million members and is headquartered in Washington, D.C.

The K-12 and Teacher Education Sector Team of the US Partnership includes experienced educators who help guide the development of a national ESD networking and outreach effort. Develop a network of formal K-12 educators who are engaged in sustainability-related education, and who share the goal of preparing students to be informed participants in the development of sustainable communities.
Promote the teaching of sustainability-related skills, knowledge and experiences through publications, professional associations, policy, and events.

The mission of CARLA is to study multilingualism and multiculturalism, to develop knowledge of second language acquisition, and to advance the quality of second language teaching, learning, and assessment.

Formerly known as the Office of Indian Education Programs, the Bureau of Indian Education was renamed and established on Aug. 29, 2006, to reflect the parallel purpose and organizational structure the BIE has in relation to other programs within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs.

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary statistical agency of the U.S. Department of Education. It is one of thirteen principal federal statistical agencies1 whose activities are predominantly focused on the collection, compilation, processing, or analysis of information for statistical purposes.

All children in the United States are entitled to equal access to a public elementary and secondary education, regardless of their or their parents' actual or perceived national origin, citizenship, or immigration status. This includes recently arrived unaccompanied children, who are in immigration proceedings while residing in local communities with a parent, family member, or other appropriate adult sponsor.

The goal of Washington's K–12 education system is to prepare every student for postsecondary pathways, careers, and civic engagement. OSPI is the primary agency charged with overseeing public K–12 education in Washington state. Working with the state's 295 public school districts and 6 state-tribal education compact schools, OSPI allocates funding and provides tools, resources, and technical assistance so every student in Washington is provided a high-quality public education. OSPI is housed in the Old Capitol Building in Olympia.
