The Arts Annex has five 2D & 3D studios with large sinks, tall ceilings with bright task lighting, work tables, easels and more. Students enrolled in arts classes have nearly 24/7 access to these spaces. This building also contains a wood shop, a ceramics studio, and a drawing studio.
Lab II 2214, is a fine metals studio with a dedicated smithing room with a wide assortment of dapping tools, forming stakes and a hydraulic press. Lab II 0233, 2225 & 2231 contain a printmaking and book arts studio with the space and equipment to support intaglio, letterpress, mono-printing, relief printmaking, and serigraphy or screen printing.
The House of Welcome contains a Carving Studio and Fiber Arts Studio.
For dance and theater, there are studios, rehearsal spaces, and performance spaces in the COM building. For film and animation, you'll find animation studios (2D and 3D), editing suites, and a screening room which seats 48. For music, there are audio control rooms, rehearsal spaces, recording studios, and technology labs.
Inside Evans Hall, you'll find Photoland which offers film processing and digital printing services, a lighting studio, darkrooms, and a digital imaging studio.
A mulitmedia lab, which any student can use for academic purposes, contains audio and video production software on thirteen Mac computers, Adobe Creative Cloud, Ableton Live, Pro Tools and other media software, and MIDI controllers, drawing tablets, iPads and other accessories to use in the lab.
Media Loan, which lends and provides instructional support for the use of audio, video, photography and presentation equipment to students for their academic work.
A variety of media labs which can be accessed by students for academic work. Some highlights include a podcast studio, video editing suites, a 5.1 surround mix lab, sound effects studio, and a video production studio. Also a TV studio!
