Introduction

Borrow a sewing machine

The library has a Singer Heavy Duty 4423 Sewing Machine available for Evergreen students, staff, and faculty to check out for 1 week at a time. 

To borrow the sewing machine bring an Evergreen ID card, A Number, or photo ID to the circulation desk and ask for the sewing machine. Please note, the machine comes with a carrying case and weighs about 15 pounds.

  • Includes spare needles, black and white bobbins, empty bobbins, extra thread, pins, small scissors, a seam ripper, and a button hole and button foot. May include other accessories like buttons, as they are available. Feel free to contribute extra buttons or thread you don't want with the machine!

  • Powerful motor and steel frame, able to sew heavy fabrics like canvas and denim
