This page will show you how to find online journals and articles through the library catalog and databases.
If you know the title of the journal you are looking for, try searching the EJournals A-Z in the catalog.
To search both print and online journals, search the library catalog.
Not every article owned by the library is indexed in our catalog. You may need to search for the journal title (see above) to locate it or you can try searching through Google Scholar, after connecting to the library (see below for instructions).
If you don't know the journal or article title and are researching a topic or subject area, try looking through our Database List. For the broadest search encompassing the most available full-text options, check out our popular databases such as EBSCO, JSTOR, ProQuest, Gale, ScienceDirect, or NewsBank.
You can always request articles from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan.
If you are having trouble navigating our databases or are in need of research help, contact us! Fill out our Research Assistance Form to get in touch with one of our research librarians or connect with us via our 24/7 chat service.
You are able to connect to The Evergreen Library's holdings by linking our library to your Google Scholar search.
You'll need to go to scholar.google.com. Then, click on Settings from the menu at the upper left.
Then, click on "Library links" on the left menu to search for The Evergreen State College.
After selecting "The Evergreen State College - Check at Evergreen" and clicking "Save," you will then be able to see if articles are available through the library. A "Check at Evergreen" link will appear to the right of some articles, linking you back to the library catalog and our holdings.
If you are still unable to find an article you are looking for, you may need to request a copy through Interlibrary Loan.
Whether you are just getting started or would like a refresher on finding online journals and articles, this video will walk you through everything you need to know!
