Electronic Resources at The Evergreen Library

This guide will show you how to find, use, and request electronic resources through The Evergreen State College Library.

Find an article or journal

Looking for a specific journal?

If you know the title of the journal you are looking for, try using the Journal Search in the library catalog. You can also browse through our journals by category at the left side of this page.

 

Looking for a specific article?

You can search for articles in the catalog by selecting Articles and More from the drop-down menu to the right of the search box. This can be used to search for the title of an article or author. The title can be placed in quotation marks to search for the whole phrase together.

Does Evergreen not have access to that?

You can always request articles from other libraries through interlibrary loan. Interlibrary loan requesting is integrated into our catalog. Watch the video below to see how to request items through the catalog.

 

Researching a specific topic?

If you don't know the journal or article title and are researching a topic or subject area, try looking through our Database List. For the broadest search encompassing the most available full-text options, check out our popular databases such as EBSCO, JSTOR, GaleScienceDirect, or NewsBank. Find a database

Request through interlibrary loan

Search through Google Scholar

You are able to connect to The Evergreen Library's holdings by linking our library catalog to your Google Scholar search.

First,- go to scholar.google.com. Then, click on Settings from the menu at the upper left.

After selecting the checkbox next to "The Evergreen State College - Check at Evergreen" and clicking the blue "Save" button at the bottom-right, you will then be able to see articles available through the library in your search results. A "Check at Evergreen" link will appear to the right of some articles, linking you back to the library catalog and our holdings.
