Electronic Resources at The Evergreen Library: E-Journals & Articles

This guide aims to bring together all the electronic resources (e-books, e-journals, databases, streaming media) and digital content available through The Evergreen State College Library.

Find an article or journal through the library

Looking for a specific journal?

If you know the title of the journal you are looking for, try using the Journal Search in the library catalog. You can also browse through our journals by category at the left side of this page.

Looking for a specific article?

You can search for articles in the catalog by selecting Articles and More from the drop-down menu to the right of the search box. This can be used to search for the title of an article or author. The title can be placed in quotation marks to search for the whole phrase together.

Green border with white search box. Search box includes the phrase "Brain injury and Impaired Brain Development". The drop-down menu at the right has Articles and more selected.

Not every article owned by the library is indexed in our catalog. You may need to search for the journal title instead (see above) and navigate to the correct volume and issue.

Not sure what you're looking for?

If you don't know the journal or article title and are researching a topic or subject area, try looking through our Database List. For the broadest search encompassing the most available full-text options, check out our popular databases such as EBSCO, JSTOR, ProQuest, GaleScienceDirect, or NewsBank.

Request through interlibrary loan

Does Evergreen not have access to that?

You can always request articles from other libraries through interlibrary loan. Interlibrary loan requesting is integrated into our catalog. Watch the video below to see how to request items through the catalog.

Search through Google Scholar

You are able to connect to The Evergreen Library's holdings by linking our library to your Google Scholar search.

You'll need to go to scholar.google.com. Then, click on Settings from the menu at the upper left.

Screenshot shows open hamburger menu (three lines at top-left) and Settings (the last option on the menu) is selected.

Then, click on "Library links" on the left menu to search for The Evergreen State College.

Below the search box is a list of results, including "The Evergreen State College - Check at Evergreen" with a selected check box to the left.

After selecting the checkbox next to "The Evergreen State College - Check at Evergreen" and clicking the blue "Save" button at the bottom-right, you will then be able to see articles available through the library in your search results. A "Check at Evergreen" link will appear to the right of some articles, linking you back to the library catalog and our holdings.
