GIMP is a free open source image editing software that provides many of the same features as Photoshop. GIMP is available for GNU/Linux, macOS, Windows, and other operating systems.
Scribus Libre Desktop Publishing Software
Scribus is a free open source desktop publishing and page layout platform available for Linux, Windows, Mac OS, and other operating systems. It is designed for layout, typesetting, and preparing files for printing. You can find many Scribus zine templates shared online.
Spectrolite
Spectrolite is a free Mac desktop app by ANEMONE that helps to make colorful risograph prints and zines more easily. This app is your friend if you have access to a Risograph printer.
